Color of the Year – 2017

What color will be popular this coming year — 2017?

This quick guide will help you to see the top selections of various paint companies from the past few months.

PPG – Violet Verbena

For starters, PPG immerses you in their process of narrowing the field to only one color for the year.

Sherwin Williams – Poised Taupe

“Earthen brown combines with conservative grey and the result is a weathered, woodsy and complex neutral that celebrates the imperfections and authenticity of a well-lived life,” says the Sherwin-Williams website.

Check out their descriptive page about Poised Taupe, too.

Dunn-Edwards – Honey Glow

See how Honey Glow from Dunn-Edwards, is a “great color to make a bold statement.”

Benjamin Moore – Shadow

“It ebbs and flows with its surroundings, and light brings it to life. Rich, royal amethyst can fade into the soft lilac-grey of distant mountains or morph into lustrous coal. Indulge your mysterious side. Let Shadow set the mood.” —Ellen O’Neill, Creative Director at Benjamin Moore

Glidden – Byzantine Blue

In a press release, Glidden states “this purple works particularly well with concentrated down-to-earth colors that promote a sense of tranquility and wellness, from brown-bag tones and beachy driftwood neutrals to charcoal and gray-infused blues and greens.”

Behr – Behr provides an overview of 20 colors defined to 3 lifestyle collections based on how you feel.

Olympic – Cloudberry

Olympic Paint announces Cloudberry as their choice of the year.

“Home décor trends for 2017 are reflecting society’s urge to find a space apart from constant connectedness, and to create balance by establishing our homes as places to refresh,” said Dee Schlotter, PPG senior color marketing manager for our Olympic Paints.

Still To Come….

Pantone
