Details.

It’s hard to miss the tiny, little details that define the individual character of Patty’s creations. Americana, farm animals, dolls, stars and hearts. Spring rabbits and chics. And Christmas angels, snowmen, stockings, ornaments and Santa – all adorned with thoughtful add-ons in the style of early-American primitives. A favorite of Patty’s is a cinnamon-grunged cat decorated with a bell and pin at his neck and an osnaburg pocket filled with sweet Annie. “Oh, I love this little guy,” she says.

Details, yes, and every piece is aged to instill an old-time antique appearance. A soft black chicken announces her gift of nature by sporting a grungy handwritten tag with the word “EGGS” along with Spanish moss tied around her neck. A simplistic Americana doll looks at a crow sitting on her shoulder and holds a grungy flag and a “1776” star. A perfectly pink pig grunged with cinnamon to appear as if happily wallowing in mud. Pillows made from checkered fabrics and ticking, are adorned with stars, cats or crows.

Small, Family-owned Business.

It is Patty who is the creative mind and hands behind the small, family-owned business from Milford, Massachusetts. She explains, “I have been making these wonderful crafts for many years, starting when my oldest of three children was just a wee one. Along the way I have been blessed with meeting many wonderful people and shop owners who are true to the handmade products we sell.”

Adds Kathy Goodrich, president of Market Square Shows, “Patty’s creative process is upholds the spirit of handmade primitive décor highly sought after by our buyers. She makes the sculptures with muslin, flannel, and osnaburg, which are painted and/or grunged with cinnamon. She brings to life unique and irresistible products full of small, fun, intricate details.”
