On Sunday, June 7th at 3 p.m., Barbara Kauffman of Hanway Mill House will be demonstrating how she makes her beautiful paper mache boxes during our 3-day wholesale show in Oaks, PA.
These wonderful paper mache boxes are handmade right in Barbara’s historic home in Lancaster County, PA. Each box is painted, sanded, rubbed, stenciled and waxed finished for a perfectly aged look. Barb’s inspiration comes from her Grandmother, antiques and her love of colonial homes. Her color are both contemporary and fit into any décor. Hanway Mill House offers styles for all season and occasions.
The demo of paper mache boxes is one of a series to include Stafford House, Primitiques LTD, Roggio Jewelry, Cranberry Hollow Primitives, Better Bee, Aunt Liz’s Attic-Time Past, Stephen Earp Redware, Baskets by Gin, Billy Jacobs, and Pine Design. Buyers will have an opportunity to learn more about techniques and processes for several mediums and engage in an informal conversation about the artistic process with the artisan.
