“Our work is inspired by traditional weave patterns and antique textiles,” says Leanne, who is the principal weaver and founded Loomination in 2013. Using natural fibers, she focuses on functional household textiles such as tea towels, table runners, placemats, and napkins as well as modern and bamboo scarves. “We focus on the art of the everyday, the objects that enrich and inspire our lives and are made to be used and loved,” she adds.

“Leanne brings to the handmade market a new twist on tradition with a fresh, modernized look to classic kitchen and home textiles,” says Kathy Goodrich, president of Market Square. “The artist demonstration will enable our buyers the opportunity to see first-hand, the quality of her materials, the craftsmanship, and how she has uniquely modernized her products for today’s consumers.”

Leanne studied fine art, textile design, and fiber art at Umass Dartmouth, Brown University, and the Rhode Island School of Design and works from her home studio in Lowell, Massachusetts. Learn more about Loomination at
